We believed what we were told in civics class but somehow knew we were born to be used. All i knew about the rich was what i saw of the Howell's on Gilligans Island. So believing that voters had a say in life, i went off to the local university, a cheap one, and after a couple years left to be a hippie. We were going to make the world a lovely place. Everyone was going to live on a communal pig farm i guess.

But then there was a crackdown i have to believe was intentional, the oil embargo raised gas prices and restricted our VW hippie bus mobility. And rents skyrocketed with inflation. All that lovely hippie crap was priced out of reach, became a yuppie weekend i suppose. We knew nothing of how wealth commanded and we failed to save the world. Oh well.

olcharliehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00309255390011851502noreply@blogger.com
