a Christian prayer

A Christian friend once told me there was a perfectly legitimate prayer in Christianity that goes:

"Dear Lord, please give him/her a swift kick in the ass!"

I'm not sure about the legitimacy, but it certainly is soothing to hear.

    My personal fav is this one:
    Lord grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change,
    the courage to change the things I can,
    the wisdom to know the difference
    and the patience not to choke those who foul my day up
    In all seriousness, up to the part where it says 'the wisdom to know the difference' is the Prayer of St. Francis of Assisi. Bodhisattva attitude if I ever saw one.
