If asked to describe a zebra, I would probably say it's a horse-shaped animal with black and white stripes.
But is it a white animal with black stripes or a black animal with white stripes? Somehow the mind longs to say one or the other.
Not that it matters.
I'm just curious.

ReplyDeletemerely optical delusion.
In the animated film "Madagascar", Marty the Zebra is quoted saying: "I'm ten years old. My life is half over and I don't even know if I'm black with white stripes or white with black stripes!"
ReplyDeleteThen Alex the Lion goes like: "27, 28, 29, 30. Hmm, 30 black and only 29 white, looks like you're black with white stripes after all. Dilemma solved. Good night!".
