As the Occupy movement shows no sign of abating even in the face of cold weather and an increasingly cranky municipal authority, the European Union cobbles together one half-solution after another, and the American Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff worries about the military implications of the civil unrest that seems ever closer to boiling over.
Drip, drip, drip ... civil unrest is authority-speak for loss of control and loss of civil control bodes well for no one.
PS. As an unconnected footnote, a study suggests atheists come in for a lot of distrust. I'm not sure whom I feel more sorry for -- the atheists targeted for judgment or the people doing the judging.
