Received in email this good Discovery Channel recreation of the 1995 sarin gas attacks on the Tokyo subway system. The attacks were orchestrated by Aum Shinrikyo, a religious cult with enormous funding and a messianic leader. (The film is in four parts).
According to Wikipedia, Aum Shinrikyo "attracted such a considerable number of young graduates from Japan's elite universities that it was dubbed a 'religion for the elite.'"
The recreation, which is thankfully un-hokey, is food for thought when it comes to religious organizations and human capacities. It is also not for the faint of heart.
