The census bureau reports that for the first time, non-white births in the United States have exceeded white births. "Hispanics, Asians and other mixed races made up 50.4 percent of
births counted in the 12 month period ending in July 2011," according to a BBC news story.
Perceptions and biases are challenged when the 'minority' becomes the 'majority' ... whether in the census or in the mind.
