Stewart vs. O'Reilly

It may say something about presidential politics and debates in America when two commentators from the opposite sides of the political spectrum rate a 10-12-inch story by the Associated Press.

Jon Stewart, whose quasi-comedic "Daily Show" takes well-aimed pot shots at conservative positions, and Bill O'Reilly, a commentator for Fox News, an egregiously slanted news program, tangled good-naturedly on TV last night during "The Rumble in the Air-Conditioned Auditorium." 

It wouldn't surprise me in the least if this event, staged between debate-one and debate-two of the actual presidential candidates, attained a wider audience than the actual presidential debates... that's how ludicrous 'serious' political discourse has become.
