As if it weren't winter, the Northeast is atwitter, bracing for a large snowstorm scheduled to begin tomorrow and provide as much as two feet or more of stuff to slip on, slide down and shovel out.
I am grateful to a friend who warned me it was coming. For a guy who reads his share of news, I had missed it. Missing the obvious is something I do well. Weather, like baseball, doesn't interest me very much as a topic of conversation or complaint.
But now that I know I may be up to my knickers, I'll head to the supermarket, eddy and swirl with other preparing shoppers, and buy some stew fixings. If the lights go out, I can always warm leftover stew on the wood stove.
