happy endings

Was there ever a more burning oxymoron than a "happy ending?"

I'm not talking about playing the Gloomy Gus, which is just another control-freak exercise.

Nor am I talking about the cowardice of 'adult' dissection.

Just the stand-alone, burns a hole-in-your pocket "happy ending?"

Perhaps it is just a koan, nothing special.

Everyone finds their own koans.
