does old age confer wisdom?

Does age confer wisdom?

Well, sort of ... maybe.

But I'm inclined to think that age may just as easily confer a well-fortified ignorance.

Pick your poison ... wisdom or ignorance.

I think it is action that conveys anything that might conceivably be construed as wisdom.

But that's just an observation made by an ignorant old fart.
