Vast advance or assured suicide?
Prominent tech executives have pledged $1bn (£659m) for
OpenAI, a non-profit venture that aims to

Open AI says it expects its research - free from financial

Scientists have warned that advances in AI could ultimately
threaten humanity....
Last year, British theoretical physicist Stephen Hawking
told the BBC AI could potentially
"re-design itself at an ever increasing rate", superseding humans by
outpacing biological evolution.
Does anyone doubt that the child will stick his fork in a light socket?
I am immensely proud of how I purposely flunked my masters programme at the 12th-ranked university on planet earth just so that I have some human wisdom from a lesser known zendo than an artificial intelligence that even a dog will ignore without a power plant running at 1% capacity.
