Iran suggests denuclearization of U.S., Europe

If the U.S. and Europe will defuse/destroy their nuclear missiles, Iran will be open to discussions of their own nuclear armaments.
While Iran has accepted curbs on its nuclear work - which it says is for purely peaceful purposes - it has repeatedly refused to discuss its missile program, something the United States and European countries have called for.
“The condition for negotiating Iran’s missiles is the destruction of the nuclear weapons and long-range missiles of the United States and Europe,” Iranian Armed Forces spokesman Masoud Jazayeri was quoted by the state news agency IRNA as saying.
Iran says its missile program is defensive, and that it is not related to Tehran’s 2015 nuclear deal with world powers which led to the lifting of sanctions against the country.
I keep wondering why sovereign nations should not demand the sort of parity that Iran seems to be asserting in this instance. North Korea doesn't deserve to have nukes because ... well, because they are the bad guys with bad motives and we are the good guys with good motives ... and because we say so. Is that it?

Or what about Israel, which takes an often-top-lofty position about the weaponry its neighbors possess or might, but never seems to discuss its own nukes or other lopsided powers ... as for example when chastising Palestinians.

Aren't most of the "good guy" nations in bed, one way or another, with countries it counts as its enemies or bad guys or something? How else would we get rare minerals out of Africa or sell guns to everyone?

  1. Funny how the good guys protect wealth and ignore the poor.
