Buddhist funerals for beloved robot dogs

On the one hand, it makes me wonder if the funeral biz -- which is big biz among Buddhists in Japan -- is losing market share. On the other, there is something utterly human in the loneliness quotient.

    It has been suggested that the loss of the extended family and the loneliness that follows might be the social issue most in need of being addressed.
