Trump launched his unfounded suggestions in a tweet on Sunday claiming: "California wildfires are being magnified & made so much worse by the bad environmental laws which aren't allowing massive amount of readily available water to be properly utilized."Maybe Trump can bring new life to a long-dead Caligula.
2. CNN -- Missouri voters handed the state's unions and the labor movement nationwide a win Tuesday evening, opting to reject the state's right-to-work law.

Gretchen Whitmer, a former Democratic leader in the Michigan state Senate, won her party’s nomination for governor in Tuesday’s primary....I can't help feeling about Democrats in the upcoming election ... that they will manage to shoot themselves in the election foot before even the first ballot is tallied ... kind of like the Red Sox who win a bunch and they start loosing as September approaches.
Whitmer, 46, will face Michigan Attorney General Bill Schuette, 64, winner of the Republican primary, in the general election for the open governor’s seat. Analysts believe she has a strong shot of restoring Democratic control of the governor’s mansion after eight years of GOP rule by Rick Snyder, who was term-limited.
Democrats are famous for shooting themselves in the foot if not the head. And by simple math, they have been the underdog in government in the range of 30% since 1968. But neither have they had any serious impact on the policies most detrimental to the nation or the world.
ReplyDeleteThe thing both sides get wrong, right and left, is putting their beliefs ahead of people. Most folks are good hearted and will stop to help someone stretched out along the side of the road, unless that someone is wearing some emblem suggesting the wrong religion or politics. Such a declaration of independent thought allows the citizen to shift from good to bad samaritan without apparent remorse. As The Donald would say, "so sad".

ReplyDeleteYeah, many dumbass Democrats tend to think negatively. Part of this generation’s trending identification with disempowerment.
I afflilate with Progressives. They’re younger, more optimistic, positive, more enthusiastic, and more energetic. I also affiliate with the Bernie Sanders wing of the Social Democrats. The Greens are still worth the effort, too.
Of course when it looks like any Republican might win I’ll vote Democrat but realize that the Democratic platform is just a more moderate version of the Republican platform.
