WASHINGTON (AP) — Preventing an extra single degree of heat could
make a life-or-death difference in the next few decades for multitudes
of people and ecosystems on this fast-warming planet, an international
panel of scientists reported Sunday. But they provide little hope the
world will rise to the challenge.
The Nobel Prize-winning Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change issued its gloomy report at a meeting in Incheon, South Korea....
More than 90 scientists wrote the report, which is based on more than 6,000 peer reviews.
It is quivering to think that a man of U.S. President Donald Trump's stripe will or can seriously address such problems.
In the story they seem to equate 1 Celsius with 1.8 Fahrenheit. But if you pull up a converter, such as google's, you see 1 Celsius converts to 33.8 Fahrenheit. So which is it?

I assumed the reference was delta 1 degree celsius is equivalent to delta 1.8 degree Fahrenheit.
DeleteExample to go from 0 C to 1 C is equivalent to going from 32 F to 33.8 F,
Test & Check 100 C to 101 C is equivalent to going from 212 F to 213.8 F.
Delta C is 1 Delta F is 1.8
However, the actual conversion formula
Degrees Fahrenheit = (Degree Centigrade * 9/5) + 32 F is probably outside many journalists’ capability even though this supposed to have been learned in Junior High School.
When will someone connect the dots?
