less 'important' news

.
There are more 'important' news stories to be told today, but the ones that caught my eye were:

-- Four people were arrested in the attacks on Amish people in Ohio. Those arrested had apparently been tossed out of the Amish community.

-- Wall Street protesters were looking to occupy other sections of New York City Saturday as the multi-millionaire mayor, like a lot of other wary politicians, trod a thin line between disapproving and approving.

-- The unemployed and underemployed find themselves increasingly screened out of potential jobs either because they are unemployed (and employers would rather hire someone coming from another job) or because they have been unemployed too long. It puts me in mind of the Almanac Singers' (including Pete Seeger before he received widespread appreciation and was reviled as a socialist) version of "I Don't Want Your Millions Mister," an old labor song from out of the 1930's-40's.
