At last!
An Australian court has done what the American justice system seems incapable of doing -- ruled that the credit-ratings agency Standard & Poor's misled investors prior to the 2008 global economic collapse. The court ordered the agency to compensate those investors.
S&P plans to appeal, of course, and investors may never see a nickel, but the ruling comes as close as anything I've read about to holding accountable those who might reasonably be called accountable.
