I suppose that everyone inclined to finding a little peace picks a variety of hand holds or touchstones or reminders that seem to fill the personal bill. What's useful to one is not necessarily useful to another so trying to lay down the law is more self-serving than fruitful.
Nevertheless, one of my touchstones whispered to me again tonight -- the so-called Four Propositions of Zen Buddhism:
It exists.
It does not exist.
It both exists and does not exist.
It neither exists nor does not exist.
I'm not trying to say anything other than that I like it.
