mediocrity run amok?

Poor old Canberra, 100 years old and eliciting cranky yawns.

In a world full of Chambers of Commerce and shiny public-relations firms, there is something pleasant about reading an article that does not hype the wonderful but instead depicts the subtle dreariness of a community or situation.
