actualization

.
I am thinking again of Ikkyu, a person who trained diligently as a Zen Buddhist and later burst forth and was revered as an ordinary man....

Ikkyu who said, "I am not a Buddha. I am just an ordinary fellow who understands things."

How wonderful it is to have high aspirations and to work hard to actualize them.

But having actualized them, who would bother to call them high aspirations?

Isn't it the same for everyone?

Just Buddhas?
