a single spark

In the single-spark-lights-many-fires department, I suppose everyone's got a fave or two. One of mine is the sign welcoming people to many graveyards:

As you are now,
So once were we.
As we are now,
So you shall be.

Leaving aside the ooohs and ahhs about something called "death," it really strikes me as a fire-starter.
