discipline

Is there any discipline -- any discipline at all -- whose most nourishing aspect does not boil down to:

Get over yourself?

Never mind "the highest" or "the best" ... just the most nourishing.

  1. Nonsense...literally, nonsense.
Like so much of your spiel it sounds good until you think about it a little more..then it dissolves like the dew.

  2. Does it ever occur to you genkaku, when you wake for a pee at three in the morning say, that you might be wasting your time and your readers time ?

I dont mean in some ' Zen ' way..please... no homily about waste/worth chocolate/anchovies ad infinitum.
Although I will understand if you are once more reduced to four letter splutterings that spray your Buddhist robes with waffle crumbs .

    Just simply wasting consciousness ?

  4. I think we are seeing more than one Anon Luz.
One who can string together some semblance of English ..and one whom ( joke ) cant.

  5. Oh, I know that Peter. I just find it funny how this little gang of Anons are so stuck on him.

  6. It had been relatively peaceful for a while 'til this post offended him. Anon clearly doesn't want to get over himself.

  8. I am an admiring anon, not a sniper. Your ponderings make my day.

  10. How many time have you gone to the greasy spoon for a cheap, filling, greasy breakfast? Then from time to time you "wake up" and say, "Boy, Shirley, this food is really greasy! I am tired of coming here!" Shirley says, "So... order the oatmeal!" But then the next day purely out of habit you return to the greasy spoon and order the same comforting, but greasy food?

  11. If the result of my posting responses on your blog is going to increase the heckling from certain disturbed quarters Adam..then I will wish you well and desist.
I will continue to read with pleasure and appreciation.

  13. Does it ever occur to you anonymous, that we take responsibility for our own time when we log in to read this blog? We're old friends some of us, which you seem to resent. Perhaps you have none and while sad, clearly understandable. But we read this blog because we like it. We don't read blogs we don't like. Why do you? Is your life that empty?
