Yellowstone apocalypse discounted

Passed along in email:
(Reuters) - Yellowstone National Park assured guests and the public on Thursday that a super-volcano under the park was not expected to erupt anytime soon, despite an alarmist video that claimed bison had been seen fleeing to avoid such a calamity.
As far as I can figure out, the most interesting thing about apocalyptic visions is that NO ONE KNOWS. That doesn't rein in speculation and supposition, of course, but still, NO ONE KNOWS.

Not knowing does not seem to suggest people get on about their business. I guess an apocalypse is just more interesting and exciting than the peculiarities of washing the dishes by hand.
