in a disaster....

With the northerly advance of Hurricane Matthew threatening havoc in Haiti, Jamaica and Cuba come Monday, disaster scenarios rise up in the mind: What would you do without electricity or warmth or fodder....

And together with the what-if, ain't-it-awfuls, some silly responses....

To create a camp fire, anyone knows that all you have to do is rub two Girl Scouts together.

And in order to catch a rabbit for dinner, anyone knows that all you have to do is hide behind a tree and make a noise like a carrot.

Hurricanes are no joke, of course, but a catastrophe without a smile seems a bit weak.

  1. There's never a girl scout around when you need one.

  2. I'm not on duty with Tzuchi Foundation this week, usually North America and South or Central Asia are their strategic humanitarian focus areas.
