remembering the oft-forgotten

Once upon a time, a long and sedate time ago, there was a suggestion that if you were forgetful, you might tie a string around your finger by way of reminder.

Perhaps there needs to be a string for two fingers.

Reminder One: Do your best not to believe what others believe just because they believe it. Do your best to believe what you believe. And then...

Reminder Two: Be prepared to assume responsibility when you turn out to be wrong.

It's a halting suggestion: At my age, I'm not sure what is accurate and what is crabbiness at the notion that old news should be peddled as oh-so-fresh.

Shiiieeeeet!
