In the ever-advancing tide of 'green' technology, a company has devised a machine that pollutes less than cremation.

The unit by Resomation Ltd is billed as a green alternative to cremation and works by dissolving the body in heated alkaline water.

    The BBS article address a few of the issues people might have. It also says other processes are in the funeral pipeline, e.g. freeze drying the dearly departed.

    I guess they come back in one of those "tastefully designed metallic ziplock bag" much like the Emergency/Camping MREs, Meals Ready to Eat.
