the Wal-Mart squeeze

.
Wal-Mart stores have plenty of critics based on their slave-labor practices, but it seems that the world's biggest  retailer is also helping to rein in the rising costs faced by increasingly impoverished buyers. Many vendors cannot afford not to sell their goods at Wal-Mart and Wal-Mart is anxious to increase its shopper base by keeping prices low. This dynamic means that, yes, prices are going up and sales are going down, but the price spikes are sometimes less precipitous.

Just a bit of dim light in the dark tunnel of these economic times.
