I enjoyed making it and it tastes good and costs a hell of a lot less than what is sold in supermarkets. The hardest part was finding the willingness to collect the various ingredients. As far as I can see, you can put damn near anything in the mix. It looks a bit like pig fodder, but it tastes good.
After the ingredients, there's a little elbow grease, a little baking and voilĂ .
Now if I could summon the energy to figure out how to make a Marsala sauce -- something I could add to damn near anything -- my comestible life would probably be complete.
This hillbilly never heard of "marsala sauce", but google has.

Ingredients
3 tablespoons olive oil
1/4 cup onion, diced
1 tablespoon garlic, chopped
1/2 pound mushrooms, sliced
3 tablespoons flour
1/2 cup Marsala wine
1 1/2 cups beef stock
Salt and pepper, to taste
Directions
Add olive oil to heavy hot saucepan. Add onions, garlic, mushrooms, saute until mushrooms are tender. Add flour and cook about 1 minute then deglaze pan with Marsala wine. Add beef stock and cook until thick and flavors are blended.
