U.S. promises Israel $38 billion in arms

The United States and Israel have reached final agreement on a record new package of at least $38 billion in U.S. military aid and the 10-year pact is expected to be signed within days, sources close to the matter told Reuters on Tuesday.
The deal will represent the biggest pledge of U.S. military assistance ever made to any country but also includes major concessions granted by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, according to officials on both sides.
I wonder if there was a deal to provide sling shots and box cutters to Palestinians.

I don't wonder if America's arms manufacturers are applauding their prescient lobbying payouts.

  1. The Gautama Buddha promises me dukkha and I have always kept finding dukkha any how, every how. My maternal grandmother before she passed on at eighty four made me take on a spiritual vow to watch how Israel use American arms till as old as possible. She was probably afraid that I would be unfamiliar with firing a Chinese type assault rifle so she made sure I could fire M16s decently as well.

She made me sit properly until I could memorise everything American GI possible, from M1 Garands till Tommy guns till Springfield rifles till Browning automatic rifles till Shermans, and when I got bored of those she made sure I memorised Abrahams till Strykers. She made sure I couldn't speak a single word of Russian and if I had to she made sure I did Sanskrit or Pali instead. She made sure I wouldn't support a single Communist and if I had to she made sure I knew a Japanese or a Briton instead. She made sure I wouldn't visit a single socialist country and if I had to she made sure I recalled Black Moon Zendo or Huffington Post instead.
