let's pretend

This year's Blackpool Illuminations has been supplemented by an exhibition billed as the most significant survey of neon art to be staged in the UK. Tim Etchells' work Let's Pretend, which bears the slogan "Let's pretend none of this ever happened", has been installed on top of the Grundy Art Gallery. Inside are works by Tracey Emin, Joseph Kosuth and Gavin Turk.

  1. Pretending to forget just isn't as useful as actually forgetting. Age is working on that for me.

  2. I'm a trained though not yet certified dementia elder caregiver in Singapore. My certifications may tend towards remembering in a way such that my memories are conducive towards state propaganda. I ain't complaining about my job though, even the wicked Hitler needs a Joseph Goebbels.
