I guess everyone reads/sees/hears the news and comes away with the bits and pieces that somehow strike a chord. With lots of more important news available today, the two things that somehow sank their barbs into my consciousness were:
The story of a fellow who was sentenced for distributing his self-published book that offered advice to pedophiles and
A story about the rising fears of antibiotic-resistant infections.
Why? I don't know.
It reminds me of the old and badly-remembered story about the three blind men sizing up an elephant. One grabbed the tail and said an elephant was like a vine. Another grabbed a leg and said an elephant was like a tree. And one grabbed the trunk and said an elephant was like a snake.
Just another blind man here.
