After the recent avalanche of hot, humid days, today it is as crisp as a carrot ... nice zazen weather. A woman is coming to sit with me ... i.e. she built a fire under my sometimes lazy ways.
How Zen students cannot see their own function as teachers beats the hell out of me, though of course I was exactly the same.

i live in a country where people are taught not to kill, not to lie, not to steal, not to commit adultery, and not to drink and drive.
in my perception, i have seen no human more human than me. but the new F16s which the government recently purchased from the US flew over my head last week at extremely low altitude and they almost made me go deaf.
I love fighter jets. They kick ass ;)
