love me for who I am!

.
Strange, the insistent, querulous, beseeching prayer within -- love me for who I am!

It seems to rise up with little or no recognition that if I loved me for who I am, there would be no need to burden others with a demand I steadfastly refuse to place on myself.

Prayers are odd: If you're so damned sure that something is missing, how could it possibly be missing?

We now return to our regularly-scheduled prayer meeting.
