'beneath' the surface

.
Strange to think how philosophy and psychology and religion and science all work so hard to dive beneath the dancing waves of daily life, to connect the dots between what is seen and what is hidden and to bring the secrets up and let them dance, wave-fashion, in the sun... finding meaning and importance and who knows what other building blocks in a sunny life.

And it's not to say that philosophy and psychology and religion and science should be discounted or dismissed with the wave of some all-encompassing hand. That would be bullshit... the kind of bullshit that anyone might be, and frequently is, capable of. Most of us need pointers in connecting the dots. There is work to do. Most of us need to practice.

But still it's strange: Having connected the dots between what is seen and what is hidden, what is ordinary and what is secret, what is above and what is below ... when all things dance unimpeded in the light, what then?

Was there ever anything other than the dancing waves ....

Dancing?
