predicting the revolution

.
A super-computer's handlers have claimed some ability to predict revolution and upheavals based on the processing of past data. They are now working to apply their analyses to current events, to a real time that looks into tomorrow.

I read the whole article wondering if the current news markers in my own country would yield a prediction of revolution or some similar upheaval.

I also wondered if, were someone to make such a prediction, what the reaction might be. Just because you know something bad is going to happen is no predictor of remedial behavior that might stem the time of violent sorrow.

When so many interests are vested in war, what force besides force has a chance of waging peace? Does the truth (assuming a machine could generate it) stand a chance when so many stand to lose?
