-- WASHINGTON (AP) — The FBI is operating a small air force with scores of low-flying planes across the country carrying video and, at times, cellphone surveillance technology — all hidden behind fictitious companies that are fronts for the government, The Associated Press has learned.
 -- Of all the financial threats facing Americans of retirement age — outliving savings, falling for scams, paying for long-term care — housingisn't supposed to be one. But after a home-price collapse, the worst recession since the 1930s and some calamitous decisions to turn homes into cash machines, millions of them are straining to make house payments.
-- Ministers from 20 countries are in Paris to discuss ways to step up the fight against IS [Islamic State] - but Russia, Iran and Syria are not part of the talks.
IS has recently made gains in Iraq despite US-led coalition air strikes.

  1. I've always tried to keep up with the news, still do. But interestingly it seems less important now. I'm reminded of two quotes from the movie Dead Man, "This world will no longer concern you" and "Stupid fucking white man".
