Posted elsewhere, but I thought I would put it here as well:
In times past, there were vocabulary-building encouragements that
included such lines as "use a new word ten times in a day and it is
yours."
Today, I wonder if reversing the process might not also
have some benefits ... "erase one word from your vocabulary in a day and
see what happens."
It's just an experiment. What word would you choose, assuming you wanted to experiment?
My choice for the day is the word "because."
Way ahead of you here, my memory has deleted nouns willy nilly, proper nouns heading the list.
