I can't see anything particularly wrong with the ever-popular sport of damning the darkness or praising the light, however that darkness or light might be conceived.
The difficulty arises with the expectation or demand that others should agree and thus burnish the persuasion.
"I think" or "I feel" strikes me as enough. Waving the literal or metaphorical arms as a means of gaining attention or agreement is too much -- an insurer of ignorance.
But that's just my take.
