While it may be a tragedy, still the Australian assessment of a woman
grabbed and probably killed by a crocodile stands in some contrast to the reaction I can imagine in my neck of the sensitive woods:
"This is a tragedy but it was avoidable. There are warning signs everywhere up there," he said, according to the Sydney Morning Herald.
"You can only get there by ferry, and there are signs there saying watch out for the bloody crocodiles.
"You
can't legislate against human stupidity," he said, adding: "If you go
in swimming at 10 o'clock at night, you're going to get consumed."
