leopard, clinging to a pile of sticks deep inside a well in India, is
rescued from drowning by a group of villagers. The footage, published by
Wildlife SOS, shows the group from Pimpalgaon Siddhanath in the
nation’s central west lowering a cage into the 20m deep well before the

Can't speak for everyone, but i think most folks have an urge to rescue any being in harm's way. And of course they didn't want a dead critter in their well water.
