A fond photographic look-back at London's Fleet Street of yore from The Guardian. Strangely, or perhaps not, it was Joseph Goebbels, the Nazi minister of propaganda, who best foresaw the usefulness the kind of complicit press we enjoy today.

And with the modernizing of the press, came a trend of illiteracy within in the press. At least it seems so to me.
